INSET’s research strategy aims at actively and systematically initiate and participate in national and international research projects. At the edge between ICT and social sciences, we are intensely engaged in the topics ICT and society and contribute enormously to analyzing and developing social innovations.

In the frame of a trans- and interdisciplinary research philosophy, INSET’s wide research portfolio comprises highly future-relevant topics, e.g. social media, eHealth, eInclusion, eGovernance, eParticipation, eLearning, eMobility, Smart Grids, Smart Homes, Smart Cities, Future and Emerging Technologies. INSET maintains global contacts to consortium partners from leading universities, think tanks, NGOs, public institutions as well as specialized high tech companies, R&D conducting SMEs and demand carriers.
